Key job responsibilities
As a Solutions Architect, you will work directly with customers to accelerate their projects and recommend best-practice architectures in line with their long-term business outcomes.
You operate as a trusted advisor for startups. The best interests of the customer will shape the guidance you provide. You work backwards from their priorities and find inventive ways to add value with solutions utilizing AWS and its Partners’ technology.
You capture and share the voice of the customer to influence the roadmap of new features and services for AWS. You use your customer understanding to participate the creation or updates of technical content and reference architectures (e.g. white papers, code samples, blog posts).
Evangelize and educate about AWS technology (e.g. workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos or conferences).

You are a builder with genuine curiosity about how technology can support your customers’ business models and objectives. A day in the life
The Solutions Architect team at AWS is responsible for helping customers successfully implement cloud technologies. In a typical week you will meet multiple customers and you will collaborate with them on designing and operating well-architected solutions. You will earn their trust and show them the art of the possible, educating them around the capabilities of AWS. Partnering with internal teams and experts, leveraging a deep knowledge of our tools and products, you’ll craft highly-scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures that address our customers’ business problems. The Store Payments Enablement team is a key part in our Commerce & Payment Area operating within the Product Development & Engineering Center. ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Technical Project Coordinator/ Technical Engineer, your task will focus on requirement analysis, testing, configuring, and implementing innovative payment technologies for H&M’s in-store environments worldwide.
You will collaborate with Payment Service Providers (PSPs), technology vendors, and internal cross-functional teams to integrate next-generation payment systems into H&M’s retail ecosystem. The role combines technical expertise with strong coordination and stakeholder management skills, ensuring seamless implementation across markets and systems.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Coordinate and manage technical projects and changes, including process management, system integration, and release coordination.
Act as a technical advisor in vendor selection, procurement processes, and during escalations with PSPs, POS vendors, and other partners.
Capture, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements together with business experts, retail leads, and regional teams.
Support the implementation, configuration, and integration of payment solutions with POS systems, PSPs, and internal platforms – both for modernization of legacy systems and adoption of new technologies.
Plan and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT); maintain test environments and ensure system reliability, performance, and security.
Perform root cause analysis and coordinate resolution of payment-related incidents together with vendors and internal teams.
Ensure compliance with PCI DSS, GDPR, and other regulatory frameworks, maintaining a secure and compliant payment environment.
Produce and maintain technical documentation, standards, and best practices for architecture, testing, and operations.
Stay informed on emerging payment technologies, cloud integration patterns, and security practices, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation.
Collaborate in an Agile environment, driving technical initiatives and supporting cross-functional delivery teams to maximize business value.

WHO YOU ARE:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in technical coordination, project delivery, or system integration within retail, fintech, or payment domains.
Understanding POS systems, PSP integrations, payment terminals, APIs, and transaction flows.
Experience with UAT/test coordination, configuration management, and incident resolution.
Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS, GDPR.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate between technical and business perspectives.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and a passion for technology-driven business improvement.

Key job responsibilities

A day in the life
As Senior Technical Program Manager for our team, you will be responsible for planning, delivery and ongoing development of a strategic new AWS region. You will coordinate and influence teams across multiple disciplines (product, operations, engineering, leadership) and translate global strategy into local execution.
In this role, you’ll need to be passionate about delivering services to customers while also possessing a solid understanding of business needs. You will need a strong technical background, enabling you to produce concrete specifications and work closely with engineering to drive implementation. As part of our team, you’ll need a track record of operating independently with strong judgment, and you'll need to be to be creative and proactive in developing solutions.

You will:
- Invent and build AI solutions that solve complex problems, scale globally, guarantee performance, and enable breakthrough innovations,
- Use AWS AI/ML services (e.g., Amazon Bedrock), ML platforms (SageMaker), and frameworks (e.g., MXNet, PyTorch, SparkML, scikit-learn) to help our customers build AI/ML solutions.
- Work with customers and partners, guiding them through planning, prioritization and delivery of complex transformation initiatives, while collaborating with relevant AWS Sales and Service Teams,
- Assist customers by being able to deliver a AI/data projects from beginning to end, including understanding the business need, aggregating data, exploring data, building & validating predictive models, and deploying completed models with concept-drift monitoring and retraining to deliver business impact to the organization,
- work with our other Professional Services consultants (GenAI, Big Data, IoT, HPC) to analyze, extract, normalize, and label relevant data, and with our Professional Services engineers to operationalize customers’ models after they are prototyped,
- Help customers define their business outcomes and guide their technical architecture and investments,
- Create and apply frameworks, methods, best practices and artifacts that will guide our Customers; publish and present them in large forums and across various media platforms,

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years experience in the industry as a ML practitioner with hands-on and implementation of ML systems; building, validating and deploying GenAI models
