We are looking for an enthusiastic junior to mid-level data scientist to join our dynamic and growing team at LeoVegas. The ideal candidate will have an open-minded attitude and be eager to learn. You will get the opportunity to work hands-on in the entire lifecycle of putting machine learning based applications in production.

Our team is responsible for providing the entire organisation, including all brands and markets, with algorithms for decision-making support, product personalization, and optimization and automation of business processes. Our project portfolio is diverse and constantly growing. Examples include churn prediction, lifetime-value prediction, player risk assessment models (responsible gaming), money laundering detection, and recommender systems to name a few.

Our data science team is not focused on reporting; we actively develop and deploy models into production that directly serve and enhance the entire organisation.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

? Interpret stakeholder requirements to develop, implement, and fine-tune machine learning models that address their specific needs and business objectives.
? Improve and maintain existing machine learning models to enhance their performance, accuracy, and efficiency over time as well as following new regulations.
? Collaborate cross-functionally with various teams, including product, engineering, and business, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of machine learning solutions with overall company goals.
? Analyse and transform data using to prepare datasets for machine learning model development and ensure data integrity and accuracy.
? Conduct A/B testing and other experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of new features and promotions.
? Collaborate with external parties to enable outsourced ML based applications.
? Perform advanced analysis on large and complex datasets to extract actionable insights and inform the business to make informed decisions

As a Senior ML Engineer, you will be working hands-on to optimise training and deployment of ML models to be quick and cost-efficient. You will also be at the forefront of putting our ML models on mobile devices to enhance data privacy and customer experience. To achieve this you will need to collaborate with teams across Truecaller to establish best practices and tools for efficient ML model development and deployment, particularly on mobile platforms. You will be expected to help Truecaller reach and stay at the cutting edge of ML training and deployment, as well as explore new frontiers such as federated learning.
The impact you will create:
Understand the current and future needs of developers and the organisation, and create a roadmap with your manager for meeting those needs.
Work with teams throughout Truecaller, enabling them to put models into production quickly and cost-effectively.
Work hands-on with teams throughout Truecaller to optimise ML models for mobile devices.
Be the go-to expert for developing models for mobile devices as well as deploying them.
Staying up to date with the latest trends and technologies in ML Engineering, especially ML on mobile phones, and driving continuous innovation throughout Truecaller.

What you bring in:
5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, with a focus on deploying ML models in production environments.
A strong understanding and experience how to optimise feature engineering, model training, and model deployment.
Hands-on experience deploying ML models on mobile devices (e.g., TensorFlow Lite, Core ML, ONNX Runtime Mobile).
Strong understanding of machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, ONNX) and their deployment on mobile platforms.
Understanding of both Android and iOS development and how that impacts ML model deployment and usage.

DevOps is a critical part of our platform strategy. As a member of the DevOps team, you will focus on providing technical expertise and support to our engineering teams to enable them to deliver high-quality software solutions efficiently.

This includes providing continuous support to teams, overcoming major technical hurdles, improving performance , implementing system monitoring and building highly available software.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Approaching Operations as a Software Engineering challenge applying software engineering to solve operational challenges.
Being the first point of contact for our Operations and Dev teams for any questions and issues regarding our platform.
Having a positive attitude and the ability to understand the critical urgency of topics and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ensuring non-functional requirements for all applications and tools are met and clearly communicated.
Providing counsel to our internal software engineering team and proactively suggesting improvements on how to operate our microservice-based solution.





OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) is a critical part of our platform strategy. As a member of the SRE team, you will focus on providing technical expertise and support to our engineering teams to enable them to deliver high-quality software solutions efficiently. This includes helping teams with technical continuous effort, overcoming major technical hurdles, performance improvements, implementing system monitoring and building software with high availability.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:


Help domain teams build software with high availability, resilience, and scalability to meet the needs of the business and customers.
Implement system monitoring to track system health, performance, and availability.
Drive performance improvements by analysing system metrics.
Contribute to the development of standards, guidelines, and best practices for software development, deployment, and operations.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices and share knowledge and insights with the broader engineering organisation.



OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
Strong technical background with expertise in software development, including proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
