As an Platform Developer you'll enjoy
You will work with our infrastructure, monitoring, deployment tools and services for a secure, reliable, and highly available platform. Also, you develop automation toolings and preassembled configurations to make a better developer experience. You take the initiative and drive to evolve the platform's infrastructure to support our rapid business growth and compliance needs. You will collaborate on building a microservice-based system running on Kubernetes in AWS (Amazon Web Services). You will improve deployment automation following the principles for Infrastructure as Code and enhance platform monitoring and alerting to scale the platform. Like always, constant solidifying our security posture is job zero. You will work with our tech stack including but not limited to Terraform, Typescript, Python, Datadog, AWS, Postgre, Kubernetes/EKS, Flux/GitOps, GitHub Actions. Qualifications and personal qualities
Curiosity, being analytic with a passion for problem-solving, and being a good communicator
Some hands-on experience with Kubernetes and building CI/CD pipelines

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) is a critical part of our platform strategy. As a leader of the SRE team, you will focus on guiding your team in providing technical expertise and support to our engineering teams to enable them to deliver high-quality software solutions efficiently.
Your team will be responsible for providing continuous support to other departments, overcoming major technical hurdles, improving performance , implementing system monitoring and building highly available software.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:


Providing support and leadership for our SRE team to solve operational challenges.
Managing the assignment of tasks for the team according to priorities and capacity.
Having a positive attitude and the ability to understand the critical urgency of topics and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ensuring non-functional requirements for all applications and tools are met and clearly communicated.
Providing counsel to our internal software engineering team and proactively suggesting improvements on how to operate our microservice-based solution.
Provide informal feedback on an ongoing basis and formal feedback in the annual performance evaluation process to identify and develop talent.
Coaching Payments Product team members in achieving goals and developing necessary skills.
Organise team trainings and initiatives.
Identify team goals and evaluate team progress.


OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:


ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Minimum 5 years of software engineering or devops experience.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a team lead or manager.
Practical experience in using common cloud APIs.
Strong knowledge of Linux and shell scripting, as well as higher level protocols and patterns like HTTP/3, REST, JSON and gRPC.
Expertise in systems integration and distributed large scale microservice deployments.
Experience in operating and monitoring container workloads and similar technologies.
Strong code reading and understanding skills with at least one high level programming language

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Domain Architect (DA), you will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and governing the architecture of our Payments domain with a main focus on evolving our Payments gateway, within our organization. As a DA, you will ensure that our systems and solutions are scalable and reliable and align with the overall enterprise architecture, business goals, and industry best practices. You will belong to the architect team within Payments and report to the Head of Engineering.


YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

? Develop and maintain the architecture for the Payments domain.
? Define architecture principles, models, and guidelines.
? Ensure the architecture is scalable, resilient, and aligned with business and overall IT strategies.
? Work closely with business stakeholders such as PMs (Product Managers) and POs (Product Owners) to understand their needs and translate them into architectural solutions.
? Define and enforce architectural standards, best practices, and governance processes.
? Responsible for maintaining and further developing the technical roadmap for the payments domain.
? Drive continuous improvement in the Payment architecture, ensuring it evolves in response to changing business needs and technological advancements as well as legal requirements.
? Maintain comprehensive documentation of the architecture, including diagrams, models, and decision logs.

? 3+ years of experience in architecture roles, specializing in leading the design of robust, scalable, and efficient components and features for complex systems.

We're looking for a real software craftsman that has significant experience in Java and backend system development and thrives in an atmosphere where learning new technologies is key.
We’d love to hear from you if:
You have experience with common Java frameworks such as Spring and JPA
You’re no stranger to working with relational databases such as My.
You have experience in building scalable and fault-tolerant systems and are familiar with microservice architectures.
Bonus points if you have used (but by no means necessary) Kotlin, Akka, Hazelcast, Elasticsearch, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Consul, Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery.
