Business Area Lead, AWS

Läs mer Aug 25
SwedQ is a consultancy that has lately proven to have a model that works for people who want to build something rather than just deliver hours. Year after year we have served clients across a wide range of industries (still intentionally excluding gambling and weaponry), and we have grown steadily in revenue, in team size and in the weight of what we deliver.
Now we are building AWS into a business area of its own. Both as a reseller and as the team that delivers the projects that follow. We are looking for the person who is going to run it.
You get two things on day one. The first is a client base where we already deliver consultants but where the cloud consumption sits somewhere else entirely. The second is a blank page.
What the role actually is
You own the P&L. Revenue, margin, pricing, budget, the lot. You decide what we sell, at what margin, and how we deliver it.
The first job is the money that is already close. We have clients who trust us and who buy their cloud elsewhere. Going and getting that is where you start. After that comes new mid market clients in the Nordics, companies in the 200 to 2000 employee range where we can actually make a difference instead of being supplier number fourteen.
You will own the relationship towards AWS and towards our distributors, and push our partner status forward. You will sit with the client's architect as often as you sit with their CTO, and you need to hold your own in both conversations without bringing someone along to translate. And you will work closely with our consultants, because we do not sell things we cannot deliver.
When the business area grows, you hire into it. You report to the CEO.
Who we think you are
You have five years or more in technical sales, business development or partner business within cloud, IT consulting or distribution. You understand the economics of cloud resale, meaning margin structure, commitments, cost optimisation, and not only how to close a project.
You come from a technical background, or you have worked close enough to the technology that you can reason about architecture and migration paths on your own. You either hold AWS certifications or you take them within six months, and we pay for them.
You want ownership of a result rather than a quota. If a target handed to you by someone else is what motivates you, this is probably the wrong company.
Swedish and English, both working level. Experience with Swedish framework agreements and public procurement is a plus, as is having built a business from nothing before.
What is in it for you?
The question goes back to you: what do you want (with common sense or not)? We are looking for someone who wants to be part of the company in a literal sense. That means taking on the commercial challenges as well as getting a portion of the company in the future.
SwedQ culture
SwedQ began with siblings who brought in people they knew. Those people recommended friends, and from there the company grew further through open head hunting. Over time we have built a diverse team with different backgrounds, experiences and insights. We made sure to amplify that by embracing independence and accountability while driving value creating work. We are 25 people, not 1300. Nobody hands you a territory inside somebody else's plan.
Sounds like you? Apply, or just get in touch and ask.

Part of our offering is our Embedded platform, enabling enterprise partners across Europe to seamlessly integrate financial services into their product offerings. Historically and going forward, the people working at Nordiska are what enables our success. We balance our professional environment with an entrepreneurial mindset, always acting with honesty and responsibility, to build long-term trust among customers, partners and employees.
About the Role
As we continue scaling with embedded finance partners on a European level, we’re looking for a Head of Information Security to take end-to-end ownership of information security and cybersecurity. At Nordiska, security is more than compliance; it’s a core enabler of growth and trust. As our embedded platform capabilities expand, so do partner expectations and the need for clear security ownership, strong execution and pragmatic risk management. In this role, you will own Nordiska’s security posture and drive initiatives that strengthen resilience, governance, and operational security. You will ensure compliance with evolving requirements and frameworks, while embedding security into product development and day-to-day operations in close collaboration with Risk, Tech and Legal.
This is a hands-on, operational leader role with accountability for both strategy and implementation. You will also serve as Nordiska’s primary security representative in external engagements - working with regulators, auditors, and partners - leading compliance efforts and ensuring Nordiska not only meets, but consistently raises the bar on security, governance and risk management.

In the role, you will:

7+ years of experience in information security/cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in leading roles in technology or infrastructure-intensive environments.

Extensive experience in information security, cyber risk management and regulatory oversight, ideally within fintech, banking, or other highly regulated environments.

A strong understanding of modern cybersecurity principles and technical security concepts.

Hands-on experience driving audits, assessments and security programs, including regulatory reviews, risk assessments and remediation follow-up.

Solid knowledge of key regulatory frameworks and standards such as DORA, ISO 27001, and GDPR, and how to translate requirements into practical controls.

Excellent communication skills in both English and Swedish, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders and non-technical audiences.

Experience from a tech-driven organization (preferred), where security enables delivery, scale and partner trust.
Your Professional Profile

Proactive and accountable - you take ownership beyond “tech security” and ensure security and compliance are embedded across the business.

Structured and execution-oriented - you thrive in building, running and continuously improving compliance processes, not just overseeing them at a distance.

Independent and self-sufficient - you can drive progress without formal line management, leading through influence in cross-functional initiatives.

Collaborative and influential – you create alignment across departments and communicate risks, trade-offs, and priorities effectively across all levels of the organization.
