We work in small teams that have full ownership of our services from idea, design and implementation to operations and maintenance. This brings responsibility, creativity and motivation as you will be a big part in developing both existing and future products. It gets you closer to the end product and makes you proud of what you have accomplished with your impact.

The SRE chapter believes that our guiding principles set an example, so we are users of our own tools. What we build now is crucial for Tink's long term success, so we need to stay well documented and self-serviced. We always strive to make our services and tools easy to use, constantly improving the user experience, without sacrificing security.

Tech

Tink’s platform is built on Java and Golang, we’re in AWS and we use Kubernetes for container orchestration, Apache Cassandra for large datasets and Apache Kafka for service integration, among other things. We think logging, monitoring, metrics and alerting is very important, for which we use ELK, Grafana and the Prometheus and Apache ecosystems respectively. Vault for secret management, and Terraform for our infrastructure as code.

Life at Tink

We are a company of developers and engineers - it’s in our DNA to imagine, build and iterate. We were founded with a vision of transforming an industry that lacked competition and momentum. And we have built a company of passionate over-achievers who all believe there is always a better way of doing things.

Data Scientist

At Tink, we’re creating the foundations that a new world of finance will be built on. By constantly challenging ourselves to go further and do better, we’re developing the ground-breaking services that businesses will use, to revolutionise the way millions of people manage their money. The world of financial services is changing fast, and we will continue to be at the forefront of it.

How you'll challenge an industry:

You will be working in a team of highly collaborative data scientists and backend engineers, working on ML-based solutions that enrich basic financial data, transforming it into highly valuable information. Being a cross-functional team we own our products end to end including data pipelines, model development, productionizing of the model, and all backend services needed to serve our customers.

We develop models for customers with millions of users and customers with hundreds of users. We work on text data in over 10 languages and experiment with technologies ranging from transfer learning to named entity recognition.

Some of the challenges you’ll be working on are:

- Transaction categorization- Using transaction descriptions (a text feature) and other transaction data, we automatically infer a transaction’s category.

- Transaction enrichment- Transactions come into Tink with lots of noise attached and the noise is unique in every market. We currently use a mix of machine learning, deep learning & regex cleanup to address this.

- Metadata creation- We want to infer multiple pieces of metadata from transactions. Where did this transaction take place? Was this part of an autopay subscription? Is this transaction associated with high carbon emissions?

You’ll contribute to the team with your analytical, statistical, and model development abilities. You will also be a cultural leader both within the team and within Tink’s data science community. You will continuously iterate on the team’s and Tink data science’s ways of working, experimenting with initiatives and getting buy-in from those around you. You will also keep all of Tink up to date on updates in your and others’ data science work.

We believe in autonomy and the team has ample freedom to make technical decisions to make their products great and run flawlessly in production.

What we look for:

- We believe that you’ll be a great fit for this position if you’re passionate about data science and interested in helping hundreds of thousands of people understand their spending. There are also some technical things we need:
- A leadership mentality: the buck stops with you.
- Experience in Python and .
- Deep knowledge of machine learning and statistics: you can talk a junior data scientist out of running a T-test on a binomial distribution.
- Experience working with text data: you’ve used text embedding techniques more advanced than a bag of words.
- Strong communication skills with both technical and business-facing folks.

The security vision of Tink is to “make sure that our customers and our own employees trust that Tink secures their data better than what their bank does”. The aim is not a perception of trust, but real, verifiable trust. And yes ... we are well aware that for a company to gain the trust of its own employees (who actually know all the “unseen” details of how data is stored, accessed, processed and protected), this is a much harder task. But challenging existing ideas and suggesting innovative solutions is part of Tink's values & DNA and we in the security teams do not shy away from such challenges.

What we offer you
As a security engineer in the security operations team you will continuously work with our ability to identify and react to vulnerabilities and security incidents. You can identify critical resources in our cloud native environment and ensure that we are properly monitoring it with logs and alerts set up in our SIEM. You can also use Python (or Go) to automate whatever can be automated so that our security tooling can scale as Tink grows. As a member of the security operations team you should also be able to quickly and accurately identify and assess incidents and vulnerabilities. And most importantly; you will work together with the rest of the organisation to do whatever it takes to keep our customers' data secure.

- Working in a company with a very strong security culture
- Working in a team of competent and ambitious but at the same time humble and friendly individuals (yes, it is possible to have all of them at the same time)
- Possibility to successfully pitch your own ideas and get time to work on them

- Provide tooling that supports the infrastructure team in identifying misconfigurations and securely scaling our cloud environment

- Continuously work with improving visibility into our cloud native infrastructure and services

- Continuously improve our threat detection capabilities by, for example, conducting purple teaming exercises together with our engineering teams

- Strive to make working tasks and tooling automatic with minimal human interaction

- Conduct proactive monitoring, investigation, and mitigation of security incidents

What we look for
- Ability to write code; not just look at it (please link your Github account if you have any public projects)

- Have working experience with SIEMs (Splunk, Sumo Logic)

- Have working experience with AWS

- Ability to do log analysis

- Experience with UNIX-based environments

- Desire to work with people; for real

- Experience with AWS specific security services (preferred)

- Experience with Kubernetes and containers (preferred)

- Hands-on experience with incident response (preferred)

- Previous experience with building monitoring solutions (preferred)

- Ability to break stuff, but an even greater desire to fix them (preferred)

Engineering Manager - Front-End Team

At Tink, we’re creating the foundations that a new world of finance will be built on. By constantly challenging ourselves to go further and do better, we’re developing the ground-breaking services that businesses will use, to revolutionise the way millions of people manage their money. The world of financial services is changing fast, and we will continue to be at the forefront of it.

Tink is trusted by some of the largest players in financial services. Today, Tink technology is used by companies like Paypal, Kivra, American Express and Avanza. Read more about our services and how they are used (https://tink.com/solutions/)

Engineering Manager - Front-End Team

We are looking for an Engineering Manager for one of our Front-End Product teams.

You are, like us, obsessed with creating exciting user experiences, as well as building solid software and technology. You make things happen by growing people and your team, by focusing on delivering value and by raising the bar.

You have experience as an engineering manager, or as team lead, tech lead or similar leadership role. You are used to impact both technology and the people around you. You often act as an informal leader and you can give multiple examples of when somebody listened and followed you.

You find it tiresome when tasks come to and standstill, and can't stand when actions don't progress. So while having a high drive and having the ability to make things move forward, you also can foresee upcoming strategic decisions. Your wide view helps you make your team design and develop scalable solutions for the future. This makes you into an appreciated leader and you understand when you reached the necessary 80%.

As a leader, you strongly believe in fostering a culture of involvement, trust, and transparency. Your team members feel included in decisions and understand how Tinks culture is incorporated in the determination.

Responsibilities

- Foster a culture of learning, trust, responsibility, and friendliness

- Drive technical development and provide leadership in an innovative and fast-paced environment

- Work closely with product management to ensure we're building products in the best way

- Enable the team to reach their targets by removing impediments, clarifying goals and initiatives, and fostering ownership and accountability

- Make sure the team has the talent it needs to succeed long-term by hiring great people

Experiences and skills

- Solid developer background, spending at least 4-5 years working as an engineer.

- Preferably experience of leading teams and owning the delivery of the team.

- You have experience in setting ways of working and team targets for engineering teams, follow-up on delivery.

- Experience from a high-paced engineering organization working with agile product teams, CI, scalability, and automation, etc.

- You have solid experience from a product company working in an agile environment.

- Strong organizational and prioritization skills along with outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Your team

You will be part of Customer Experience, a product area responsible for building developer and end user-facing products at Tink. In order to move fast, we organize ourselves into smaller teams so we can collaborate and ship features faster, typically Full stack teams.

Even though we have a broad mandate, there are some parts of the Tink experience we are especially passionate about. There's the Console (https://docs.tink.com/), a developer's portal to the world of Tink. Or our powerful SDKs (https://docs.tink.com/resources/sdk), which make it easy to integrate our products.

We use React, TypeScript, Golang, My and all our microservices run on Kubernetes in AWS. We use continuous deployment and assure the quality by automated tests and monitoring. The team is responsible for the availability of the services it owns, has SLOs/SLIs in place as well as an on-call rotation.

See more of the work we do and a few use cases here (https://jobs.tink.se/pages/customer-experience-department).

Life at Tink

In an environment that’s filled with skilled and creative colleagues, and a culture that encourages people to make their ideas happen, you can have an impact like nowhere else. We all help each other to build new skills and best practices through the diversity of our backgrounds and opinions - while having a lot of fun in the process. Mission of Engineering Foundations

In the middle of the very complex platform that makes up Tink, the heroes of Engineering Foundations provide Tink with tailored self-service tools and services that enable teams to deliver, operate and observe their services, with low friction and entry point.

We want to provide lean services that enable Tink's teams to run applications with flexibility, scalability and reliability on your own. You build it, you run it.

Create value

As a site reliability engineer at Tink, you'll provide the other development teams with infrastructure, enabling them to develop and run their services.

You'll be crucial in facilitating great ideas to fantastic implementations and drive a long-term impact at Tink. You'll be learning from an amazing team, you can also look forward to:

- Solve problems relating to mission-critical services and build automation to prevent them

- Design, write and deliver software to improve the availability, scalability, latency and efficiency

- Learn about the different tools used across Tink

- Be a best practice champion; influence and create new designs, architectures, standards and methods for large-scale distributed systems

How we work

We are a tech company, one that’s modern, approachable, agile and always looking for a better way of doing things. We work in small teams that have full ownership of our services from idea, design and implementation to operations and maintenance. This brings responsibility, creativity and motivation as you will be a big part in developing both existing and future products. It gets you closer to the end product and makes you proud of what you have accomplished with your impact.

The SRE chapter believes that our guiding principles sets an example, so we are users of our own tools.

Technical decisions are made democratically and pragmatically, so whether you're from a Go, Java or something else background should not matter.

Life at Tink

In an environment that’s filled with skilled and creative colleagues, and a culture that encourages people to make their ideas happen, you can have an impact like nowhere else. As more and more customers and developers onboard with Tink, it is our job to ensure their experience is awesome. We believe that “That which is measured, improves” and in the world of modern data science and analytics, the measurement itself is a fundamental part of the improvement process. We’re in the midst of building a world-class data platform and analytics team, used to fuel our product development with reporting, insights and testing frameworks. Joining Tink as a product analyst now means you’ll be a part of both building and shaping the future of insight work, at a leading fintech player.

What we look for

We’re looking for a current or future leader, who will drive Tink to be at the forefront when it comes to data-informed, and driven, decision making. We look for that “we’re in this together” attitude, and an ambition to get your hands dirty and do things right, to balance the short-term and setting us up for the future.

With that, we think you’ve spent the past few years learning the tools of analytics and business intelligence and have honed your soft skills working with, and influencing, stakeholders and business leaders. You’ve probably worked in a product-oriented company, ideally in the financial sector, but hey - if you haven't, you can learn.

Day-to-day:

You’ll work with pretty much every function at Tink, to bring an understanding of how our products are performing, what we do well, and what we can do better. You will get great help from our Data Engineering team, building a modern platform for data collection, transformations, and pipelines.

We’ll always be split between instrumenting data, automating reporting and driving analytics projects, deep-diving some aspect of our product.

In the short term, a lot of focus is on Product Managers and engineering squads to make sure we collect high-quality fundamental data. It also includes making basic metrics from that data accessible to those same stakeholders. Be it either through dashboards, or empowering people to query themselves. Empowering people is an important aspect of the role. You will be educating our stakeholders how to interpret and work with our data.

In the medium and longer-term, a significant share of reporting is automated and focus shifts more towards understanding what drives performance, deep-dive problems and opportunities, and develop our capabilities for staged roll-outs, A/B-testing, and data-driven design.

Required qualifications

- A few years of experience in a similar role, perhaps you picked up the skills in a different area or over a different timeframe - let’s talk!

- Driving analytics projects and initiatives from inception to delivery.

- Good communication skills and collaborating efficiently with stakeholders.

- Hands-on work with , metrics reporting and building dashboards/business-intelligence.

- Hands-on work with analytical & statistical methods, e.g. hypothesis testing, AB-tests, regression modeling and similar.

- Scripting experience in R or Python’s data libraries (or Julia or Matlab or SPSS or something else).

Don't hesitate to contact us for further information or questions you might have.

We're looking forward to your application!

There is a famous video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48j493tfO-o) of Steve Jobs talking about working backwards from the customer experience as being the best way to build technology products. And that is exactly how the Customer Experience team at Tink thinks about its work. Our mission is to deliver world-class product experiences with a clear focus on our customers. We do this by bringing together a group of incredibly talented engineers, product managers, designers and creatives, provide the conditions required for their talent to flourish, and pursue our best ideas together as a team.

We are now looking for a Senior Android Engineer to lead the development of our Android suite of open banking products. To be successful in this role, we think you will have a few years work experience of Android development, with an educational background in software engineering or mobile development. Most of your day-to-day work will be done within the Mobile SDK team, where you will work closely with other Android / iOS Engineers, designers and PM/EM. Our teams enjoy great autonomy and we believe you will play a huge role in defining the future direction and performance of our Mobile SDKs.

Information Security Specialist

At Tink, we’re creating the foundations that a new world of finance will be built on. By constantly challenging ourselves to go further and do better, we’re developing the ground-breaking services that businesses will use, to revolutionise the way millions of people manage their money. The world of financial services is changing fast, and we will continue to be at the forefront of it

How you'll be part of changing an industry

The security vision of Tink is to “make sure that our customers and our own employees trust that Tink secures their data better than what their bank does”. The aim is not a perception of trust, but real, verifiable trust. And yes ... we are well aware that for a company to gain the trust of its own employees (who actually know all the “unseen” details of how data is stored, accessed, processed and protected), this is a much harder task. But challenging existing ideas and suggesting innovative solutions is part of Tink's values & DNA and we in the security domain do not shy away from such challenges.

What we look for

We are now looking for an Information Security specialist who will make sure that not only do we have the correct and sufficient processes and tools in place but openly and clearly communicate them to our internal stakeholders and external customers and auditors. As an information security specialist, you need to be able to translate high level requirements to technical specifications and the other way round, document your work and communicate it in an educational and approachable way, and thus drive organisational security improvements by doing so.

Responsibilities

- Drive the compliance to Tink’s Information Security Management Framework (i.e., our security policies, procedures and standards) internally
- Evaluate and improve Tink's ISMS
- Communicate Tink's security posture and modern approach to security to our customers
- Serve as an expert in Tink’s Information Security capabilities, solutions, policies, procedures and standards; both internally and externally
- Conduct third party assessments of partners, software vendors and SaaS apps
- Support in security reviews and audit activities (e.g., ISO27001)

Required skills

- Experience working with Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) & Risk Management
- Excellent communication & collaboration skills
- High ethical standards
- You see security as a business enabler not as a step in the compliance process
- You care about giving real, tangible advice/recommendations instead of fluffy, pompous and pretentious InfoSec jargon when interacting with colleagues
- You love to share and document your thoughts and knowledge for others to benefit from

Nice to have

- Experience with ISO/IEC 27001, PCI/DSS or other information security standards
- Experience with implementing the EBA guidelines on outsourcing
- Experience from working in a DevOps and cloud-only environment
- Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning and organisational skills

Your future team

We are a group of security professionals from 10 different countries and 4 different continents. We are all passionate about what we do and we do not settle for mediocrity. We have a strict NO-BS policy and we like challenging each other. We do not look or think how great our CV looks and we only look at what we can learn and how we can help each other grow as individuals and professionals.

How we work

We are a tech company, one that’s modern, approachable, agile and always looking for a better way of doing things. We work in small teams that have full ownership of our services from idea, design and implementation to operations and maintenance. This brings responsibility, creativity and motivation as you will have a big part in developing both existing and future products. It gets you closer to the end product and makes you proud of what you have accomplished with your impact.

Life at Tink

- You work in a pragmatic and solution-oriented way.
- You understand the importance of creating value for customers in the work you do.
- You have excellent written and spoken English.

It’s advantageous if:

- You have previous experience providing business to business technical support.
- You have written and spoken Spanish.
- You have previously worked in financial services.

What you will do
- Analyse and resolve support requests from our customers
- Troubleshoot and provide creative solutions to technical problems
- Reproduce and debug issues across Tink’s products and technology stack
- Communicate with customers and keep them updated through a variety of channels
- Collaborate with engineering, product and commercial teams to meet customer requirements
- Handle the communication role for Tink’s incident management process and be part of a 24/7 on-call rotation for incident response
- Share knowledge with your support colleagues to ensure that you colleagues benefit from your expertise
- Write and update documentation for our internal and customer knowledge bases

The SRE chapter believe that our guiding principles sets an example, so we are users of our own tools. We always strive to make our services and tools easy to use, constantly improving the user experience, without sacrificing security. We're a team of 6 that enjoy helping other passionate developers at Tink doing great work, while we're learning from them.

Technical decisions are made democratically and pragmatically, so whether you're from a Go, Java or something else background should not matter :)

By constantly challenging ourselves to go further and do better, we’re developing the ground-breaking services that businesses will use to revolutionise the way millions of people manage their money and financial data. The world of financial services is changing fast, and we will continue to be at the forefront of it.

How you'll be part of changing an industry

Tink’s connectivity teams provide the foundation for Tink’s product offering, by building out and maintaining high performing connections to all the banks across Europe. Through Tink’s products (built on top of the connectivity) Tink’s customers can innovate and bring new, better financial services to end-users across Europe - empowering them to use their financial data to e.g. better manage their money, enjoy digital onboarding to new services, receive better offers and initiate payments in a smooth way. We are in the beginning of the Open Banking era and have just scratched the surface of the possibilities it brings. Tink is investing to become the global leader in this space - both through organic growth (e.g. 90 new employees joined in 2020 - this year another 200 will join) and through acquiring local leaders*. Tink is backed by strong investors and will continue to accelerate the growth pace in the coming years - hence, we seek great people that want to be part of that journey! Right now, we are looking for Associate Product Managers that will take responsibility for further growing our pan-European presence.

In 2020 Tink acquired Instantor, Eurobits and OpenWrk’s connectivity platform, in 2021 FinTecSystems (pending regulatory approval)

As an Associate Product Manager for Connectivity, you will:

- Be responsible for market research for your markets and become the expert of those (including e.g. gaining a deep understanding for the bank user flows in the market)
- Analyse end-user behaviour and preferences and work on streamlining user journeys (by any necessary means)
- Drill down in the data to analyse connection performance, and based on your findings enable your team to optimise conversion rates
- Work close with key customers in your markets and figure out what is needed to make them successful
- Work close with other Tink product teams to roll out new products in your markets
- Provide input to the team’s roadmap based on your detailed knowledge about the markets and your stakeholder dialogues
- Together with the Engineering manager, take part in and run the team's day-to-day activities, from retros to standups, groomings and plannings
- Make sure targets are met and roadmap is delivered according to plan
- Work side by side with your team members, other product teams and stakeholders to ensure efficient ways of working and alignment across the full Tink organisation
- Come up with ideas and drive projects to improve the way we work in Connectivity
- Be responsible for the ongoing dialogue with banks on PSD2 API issues and manage the PSD2 API evaluation and testing

What we look for

We always want to challenge ourselves and the industry we work in, no matter the role. For us, it's important that we try to be the very best versions of ourselves. This means we put high demands on ourselves. Not just to be exceptional, but to be friendly and sincere as well. If you feel this sounds like you, maybe you have it in you to become our next Tink star!

- You have knowledge of (or interest for) the financial technology domain - it’s a plus if you are familiar with Open banking/PSD2 and/or the payments domain
- 2-3 years of experience in a Product role, preferably in finances, insurance, SaaS, PaaS

Tink is building a world of financial happiness. Our technology is enabling some of Europe’s biggest banks, fintech unicorns and startups to embrace the new open banking world - and deliver the future of financial products to millions of people.

How you'll challenge an industry:
As more and more customers and developers on board with Tink, it is our job to ensure their experience is awesome.

What we look for:

In the medium and longer-term, a significant share of reporting is automated and focus shifts more towards understanding what drives performance, deep-dive problems and opportunities, and develop our capabilities for staged roll-outs, A/B-testing, and data-driven design.

Qualifications / Experiences
- A few years of experience in a similar role, perhaps you picked up the skills in a different area or over a different timeframe - let’s talk!
- Driving Analytics projects and Initiatives from inception to delivery.
