The House of Innovation (HoI) at the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) currently invites applications for one tenure-track position (Assistant Professor level). 
Your profile and qualifications 
Candidates are expected to have relevant background in Information Systems, Innovation Management or related fields. A research focus on Artificial Intelligence, Digital Health or Digital Resilience will be considered a plus. A PhD in a related field is required by the time of assuming the position. 
Candidates are expected to have strong qualities in both research and teaching. In research, the candidates should exhibit the ability to publish in top-tier, peer-reviewed, international journals, as evidenced by a promising research and publication pipeline, a presence in the international research community, and publications in leading journals (if available). In teaching, experience with integrating GenAI into innovative teaching is a plus, as well as having designed and delivered university courses in management of digital technologies and/or innovation, and having coached student projects. Candidates will be expected to interact and collaborate with faculty from other disciplines and to exercise intellectual leadership in their discipline. 
The position 
The tenure track period is six years. The intended starting date for the successful candidate is September 1, 2027 (open to negotiation). Salaries are set on an individual basis. Tenure track faculty members are evaluated for tenure on a non-competing basis (i.e., based on individual performance).  
For these positions, course load is reduced from the regular 4 courses to 2 courses for the duration of the tenure track period.

About the role 
In this role, you will play a key part in strengthening SSE's global visibility and attracting talented students from around the world. You will develop and execute marketing and recruitment initiatives for our Bachelor programs, with a primary focus on international markets. The position combines strategic planning, market analysis, relationship management, and hands-on execution of recruitment and marketing activities. 
You will work closely with the Marketing and Recruitment Manager responsible for the domestic Bachelor recruitment cycle, ensuring a coordinated and impactful approach to student recruitment across all target markets.

The Education Office (EdO) is one of SSE’s Professional Services units and consists of around 58 colleagues. We are looking for a highly motivated predoctoral research assistant to join our international research team, including Assistant Professor Amanda Dahlstrand at the University of Zurich, Postdoc Shan Huang at Stockholm School of Economics, and Associate Professor Guy Michaels at the London School of Economics.

The research assistant will assist in research projects that study healthcare provision and the role of digitization. This is an exciting opportunity to shape new directions for the projects, work with novel microdata, and refine the skills needed for empirical research.  

We are seeking a candidate with an Economics degree (BA/BSc or MA/MSc) and a strong capacity for independent work within a supervised research environment. “Predoctoral” refers to a candidate who has not yet started a PhD program but may wish to apply for one later. The position is ideal for those who want to apply for a PhD. The ideal start date is early June (we can accommodate exams) and no later than mid-July, and the initial contract duration will be around one year.

Key responsibilities
The primary task of the research assistant will be to assist in conducting applied economic research. This can, for example, include preparing large datasets for analysis, implementing econometric methods, creating figures and tables, or surveying parts of the literature. The research assistant will participate in regular meetings and contribute to exploring new directions in developing the projects.

Qualifications
The candidate should have completed a BA/BSc or MA/MSc degree by July 2026. 

Good knowledge of Stata (statistical software packages) is essential. Familiarity with other research tools, such as LaTeX and statistical or computing languages, such as R and Python, is a strong advantage. Experience in working with microdata and proficiency in Swedish are appreciated.

The post will be located in Stockholm (on-site, no remote work) and is full-time with a competitive salary.

The Swedish House of Finance at the Stockholm School of Economics seeks 
applications for full-time pre-doctoral research analyst positions in empirical 
financial economics, to start on or after 1 July 2026 (subject to agreement).

The positions will suit intellectually curious candidates who intend to gain 
experience of research in (financial) economics before applying to a top-level PhD 
program in economics, finance, or another social science. As a research analyst, 
you will be working on cutting-edge data-intensive research projects in 
collaboration with fellow pre-docs and under the supervision of Associate

The topics include the behavioral economic drivers of debt and default, as well as 
the relationship between corporate financial decisions, mental illness, and the

Background
The Center for Statecraft and Strategic Communication (CSSC), located at the Department for Marketing and Strategy at the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE), is pleased to announce fellowships for three two-year postdoctoral fellows wishing to pursue historically informed research about strategic communication in statecraft.

In addition to being part of SSE, the postdoctoral fellows join an international consortium, the Ax:son Johnson Institute for Statecraft and Diplomacy (AJI).

Incoming postdoctoral fellows will work closely with the affiliates of CSSC as well as being given opportunities to participate in the Center’s activities and the broader intellectual community of SSE. They will also collaborate with faculty, affiliates, students, and fellows from the other institutes in the consortium, creating a multi-institutional, multi-national intellectual community that spans the Atlantic, as well as have publishing opportunities through Engelsberg Ideas.

Research topics
CSSC’s research profile combines history, statecraft, and strategic communication. Our concern with history means that we are interested in past events, but also that we seek to situate current events historically, aiming to apply historical lessons to contemporary phenomena and to understand them as parts of long-term processes. The focus on statecraft means that we are interested in international affairs, and how political leaders navigate the security challenges facing their countries. With strategic communication, we refer to the use of information or disinformation by states and other political actors to achieve strategic objectives. This can entail rhetoric, public diplomacy, propaganda, disinformation, diplomacy, intelligence, strategic narratives, and similar phenomena.

The ideal research project should be situated at the intersection of these three areas, but we are also open to projects with links to one of two of them, as long as the overall orientation fits our overarching concern with statecraft and diplomacy. In addition, research projects relating economic history to statecraft will also be considered. Ultimately, we seek to attract high-caliber candidates pursuing research that fits our research profile.

Our research is firmly grounded in the classic humanities and the history of international affairs. We favor writing in a plain style and support efforts to disseminate research findings to the general public.

Requirements
Candidates must, at the time of assuming the position, hold a Ph.D. (defended not later than three years prior to starting the position) in a relevant discipline such as history, political science, economics, business administration or communication studies. CSSC’s postdoctoral researchers are expected to complete a two-year research project. This can be two or more peer-reviewed articles or a book project. Postdoctoral scholarships can be prolonged if the recipients conduct work for CSSC or AJI, for instance as lecturers or as project managers. Knowledge of Swedish is a merit.

Terms
The three fully funded postdoctoral positions cover two years, and the work is mainly located at CSSC’s premises located at the Stockholm School of Economics. The monthly salary (subject to tax) is around SEK 45 500. Costs for conference participation, travel to our partner universities and necessary literature will be covered by CSSC up to a certain limit as decided by the center director.

Admitted fellows are expected to start around 1 September 2026.

Successful candidates will have opportunity to gain teaching training and experience at SSE during their postdoc period. They will be able to participate in seminars and courses for pedagogical development offered at SSE. Specific teaching assignments could either be in one of the dedicated courses offered by the Center for Statecraft and Strategic Communication or in other course offered by the Department of Marketing and Strategy.

Mistra Center for Sustainable Markets (MISUM) at the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) is entering an exciting new phase when we are expanding our work and are seeking an operationally strong and collaborative Executive Director to support the center’s development and ensure high-quality day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

The Stockholm School of Economics invites applications for a post doctoral scholar in the field of economics of education at the Department of Economics

This post doc will work with Associate Professor Abhijeet Singh and coauthors on projects funded by his European Research Council Starting grant (EDINCLUSION).

This research agenda focuses on improving education systems in India with an emphasis on school markets, learning, and social inclusion. Experience with empirical methods in the economics of education is an advantage: this can include, e.g., one or more of experiment design, survey design, program evaluation or structural modelling (e.g. in models of school choice or achievement production functions).

The objective for this position is to coauthor high quality journal articles. There is no teaching associated with the position and the post doc will also have time to advance solo-authored projects. The postdoc will be embedded in an active research environment at the Department of Economics and, especially, with vibrant research groups in development economics and applied microeconomics. Some field travel to India is expected.

The target start date for the position is September 1, 2026 and can be between 11-22 months, subject to mutual agreement at the beginning of the contract. A one-year postdoc may suit candidates that will (or plan to) begin a tenure-track assistant professor position at another institution in fall 2027. A 22-month postdoc may suit candidates who plan to apply for tenure track positions in the 2027-28 job market cycle. The position is not suitable for candidates who are more than three years past the completion of their doctoral degree at the time of starting the contract.

Salary: 45 000 SEK per month (before tax).

Qualified candidates should have completed a doctoral degree or equivalent by the start of the position.

Furthermore, the funding context allows the exploration of real-life cases and the pursuit of exiting new research topics. A strong interest in circularity and the food industry is desirable. We welcome applications from researchers with expertise in either qualitative (case studies, interviews, and observations) or quantitative empirical methods (secondary data analysis, experiments), but a basic knowledge of both is required.

About the New arena/Center
This new initiative housed at the SSE House of Governance and Public Policy (GaPP) aims to create a platform to support the sustainable integration of third-country nationals in Sweden.

Together with key stakeholders in the migration and integration process, experiences and insights are researched and incorporated into a systemic perspective. The Arena project emphasizes the importance of collaboration at multiple levels and focuses not only on establishing employment but also on other dimensions of sustainable migration and integration. The Arena project research team will conduct research and disseminate science-based knowledge about how migration regulations, business models, and working conditions interact and effect integration and social sustainability. The Arena project is led by Associate Professor Lin Lerpold, together with Professors Laurence Romani, Karl Wennberg, and Örjan Sjöberg. Beyond the senior faculty, 5 postdocs will be recruited to complete the core team with 3 staff roles.

About the position
The stakeholder relations, event and communication role plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth coordination, communication and execution across diverse partners and organizations. The role’s key tasks will be to organize and facilitate regular stakeholder events, maintain a stakeholder directory with roles, responsibilities, and contact info., track stakeholder engagement and follow up on action items. This position will work towards the new center/arena but will be placed in the unit External Relations. 

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
The position has three main areas of responsibility:

 Stakeholder Relations:

- Map stakeholders and maintain the stakeholder database.
- Develop and implement stakeholder engagement strategies and plans.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key partners and collaborators.
- Track stakeholder feedback and organize stakeholder consultations and feedback sessions.

Event Management:

- Design and manage events and develop event concepts, agendas, and speaker lineups in collaboration with teams.
- Coordinate logistics and ensure events align with brand and communication goals.
- Manage event promotion and post-event follow-up (e.g., surveys, thank-you notes).
- Oversee event budgets and vendor contract 

Communications:

- Develop and implement a communications strategy aligned with project goals.
- Create and manage content for newsletters, press releases, social media, and websites.
- Monitor media coverage and public sentiment and ensure brand consistency across all materials and platforms.
- Support internal communications to keep teams informed and aligned.

About the position
The role of the Arena project/research assistant is to provide administrative and practical support for all project team members and activities. Under the leadership of the project leader and administrative manager, tasks could include:

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Assist in scheduling and organizing meetings and research dissemination events
- Maintain project documentation and support communication
- Help prepare progress reports and presentations.
- Assist in coordinating travel and accommodation for researchers or stakeholders.
- Manage participant lists, invitations, and follow-ups.

Research Assistance when time allows:

- Assist in designing and piloting surveys, interview guides, or data collection tools.
- Support fieldwork logistics and coordination with local partners.
- Enter, clean, and organize data and maintain data confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Conduct literature reviews and summarize key findings.
- Compile background information and contextual data for reports or proposals.
- Support basic data analysis (quantitative or qualitative) under supervision.
- Help draft sections of research reports, policy briefs, or academic papers.
- Create tables, charts, and visualizations for presentations or publications.

The Arena emphasizes the importance of the collaboration of multiple stakeholders in the governance of migration and integration, at multiple levels, and focuses not only on employment, but also on other dimensions of sustainable migration and integration. The Arena and research team will collect, create, and disseminate multiple-actor, science-based knowledge on the governance of migration and integration in Sweden for societal and social sustainability.

Your profile
The successful candidates will have built a research agenda during their PhD, as evidenced by publications, and are keen to extend methodological and theoretical expertise in the broad field of migration and integration. Their general disciplinary background should be within the social sciences, with a societal or organizational level perspective connected to migration and integration. We aim for the post-doc team to be composed of researchers embedded in broad areas of migration studies, either in political science, geography, sociology, economics, and management. The Arena is led by Associate Professor Lin Lerpold, together with Professors Laurence Romani, Karl Wennberg, and Örjan Sjöberg.

As a candidate, you thrive in a research environment directed towards impact, that is, a multidisciplinary and multi-paradigmatic environment where research aims at making contributions to both academic knowledge and a more sustainable society. You are open, considerate, and sympathetic to different research disciplines and paradigms such as positivist, interpretivist, and critical. You have strong qualities in both research and outreach communication activities.

While successful candidates are expected to master either qualitative or quantitative methods, knowledge of and the ability to use both are a merit. Though research aims to be published in high-ranking international journals, an interest in the Swedish context within the larger EU frame, as well as sufficient reading and oral communication in Swedish is necessary. Beyond basic academic research, the successful candidates will be expected to contribute to, and participate in, the Arena’s multistakeholder activities as well as communicate their research in policy and practitioner briefs.

The applicants must hold a PhD by time of employment and show an ability and ambition to publish manuscripts in highly ranked, international scholarly journals. Preference will be given to those who have a doctoral degree that is not older than 5 years at the time of application. Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) is a requirement, while full proficiency in Swedish is an advantage. We expect the candidate to relocate to Stockholm.

As a postdoctoral researcher, you will be expected to independently and together with the other researchers contribute to:

- Conducting and publishing original research aligned with the Arena’s thematic focus and scholarly ambition.
- Collaborating with fellow researchers on interdisciplinary projects
- Participating in the scholarly community through conferences and workshops
- Participating in the Arena’s multistakeholder activities, e.g., workshops, roundtables, and dialogue forums
- Translating research findings into formats that are accessible to external audiences.
